May 1st

Well, it's the first day of May. The beatification was this morning. It was beautiful, but long. Now I'm lounging on a pile of rocks overlooking the ocean. Well, I guess more like the sea. Seriously this moment is cinematic. Waves are crashing over the rocks, white foam flying in the air. Man can learn a lot about God through natural marvels such as these. First, that He exists. And secondly, that we are small. Very very small.

Here I've been fussing about my own problems. I just need to realize how tiny they are, and I am, in the whole scheme of things. It's so easy to get caught up in the stresses of this world - what do they amount up to anyway? What difference does it make? God is great. The waves will continue to splash against the rocks. Time goes on and so will I. Oh what am I going to do when I leave this place? Please can't time just slow down. I'm not even close to being ready to leave.

I wish I could capture everything in a photo. This beauty that I am seeing is too great for a picture...it's too great for my words. Which maybe describes how beautiful it actually is.

I'm so thankful for these times when I drag myself out of the house and go on an adventure. I'm reminded that there is so much more for me to see around here.

I LOVE THIS ISLAND.

I truly do. Being here has changed my life completley. I'm changed forever.

This is the perfect place and time to be still and know that He is."
