My friend Roberta explained to me it's Marzo Pazzo or "Crazy March." The phrase goes "Marzo Pazzo é lo, c'é sole porte un ombrello." Which means, "Crazy March it is, if there's sun take an umbrella." Marzo Pazzo. There you have it folks.

One of Sicily's many querks is that no matter how warm it is, everyone is in a jacket. While I was walking to work this morning, the sun was shining and I guessed it had to be high 60s. How is it that I'm the one that looks crazy stripping my jacket off in this hot weather?? Everyone, I mean EVERYONE had a coat and scarf on like it was low 40s, windy, and rainy! Here I am losing pound by the second in sweat, and these people are ready for a snow storm! Crazy Sicilians. I thought I was a wuss when it came to cold weather...
I for one am ready for Marzo Pazzo to be over. I'm ready to put on my suede boots and not be afraid that at any moment, the heavens are going to open up and a gallon of water is going to ruin my beautiful italian boots.
It's almost time for spring, people. You know what that means?? Chaco's and flip flops. Every day. I cannot wait.
